Craig M. Silvers, CFA, is the President and Chief Investment Officer of Bricks & Mortar Capital. Prior to forming Bricks & Mortar Capital in 2002, from 1994 to 2001 Mr. Silvers was Managing Director and Equity Analyst at Sutro & Co./Tucker Anthony Sutro, a leading investment banking and stock brokerage firm, where he was responsible for researching REIT and real estate securities, as well as doing research in the hotel/casino sector. Mr. Silvers previously worked as an Equity Analyst at Crowell, Weedon & Co. from 1989 to 1994, where he researched investments of REITs and various other firms. He also served as a market research analyst at First Equity Group (an owner/developer of retail properties) during 1988; and as a Compliance Examiner for the National Association of Securities Dealers from 1986 to 1987.
Mr. Silvers, a native of Los Angeles, graduated from Arizona State University with a BS in Finance, and received an MBA from the University of Southern California. He is a member of the CFA Institute and CFA society of Los Angeles. Mr. Silvers is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has passed the Series 7 (General Securities representative) License and Series 16 (Supervisory Analyst) qualification examinations. Mr. Silvers has been named by The Wall Street Journal as an All-Star Analyst in the Real Estate sector.
